Some Tips For JK Electric Winch Operation

1. Confirm that the winch type, applicable scope, working class, rated load, rated speed, rope capacity, etc., meet the usage conditions, and strictly prohibit overloading.

2. Connect the power supply and rotate the cam controller handwheel in the desired direction until the motor runs stably before moving to the next position, up to the highest gear.

3. When using the lifting electrical equipment, the cam controller cannot adjust the speed; it can only be used for switching resistors for buffer starting. It cannot be operated at low gears, and the electrical equipment should be checked for moisture protection regularly.

4. When operating a winch, the wire rope must not drag on the ground. Support rollers or grooved pulleys can be installed if necessary. When the wire rope crosses a passageway, protective devices should be installed, and it is forbidden for people or vehicles to step on it or run over it. Personnel are strictly prohibited from crossing running wire ropes or walking in front of winches, and it is strictly forbidden to use winches to transport construction personnel.

5. When using multiple winches for hoisting, their traction speed and lifting capacity must be the same, and they must be operated under unified command, with unified actions and synchronized operation.

6. If any mechanical malfunction, abnormal noise, brake failure, or a sharp rise in bearing temperature is observed during winch operation, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection and repair.

7. The wire rope on the drum should be neatly arranged. If overlapping or oblique winding is found, the machine should be stopped immediately. It is strictly forbidden to step on or pull the wire rope while it is rotating.

8. When the winch is carrying a heavy load, it is strictly forbidden to use the stop device for braking. The brakes must be applied gradually with increasing force. Excessive force will damage the machine.

9. After work, the heavy load must be placed on the ground; it must not be left suspended in the air.
