What Is The QH Explosion-proof Air Hoist?

Released on Aug. 29, 2025

Explosion-proof air hoists are mainly suitable for special environments with high explosive dust, such as petroleum, chemical, and coal mining industries, where there are requirements for explosion-proof grades. Pneumatic hoists are ideal explosion-proof lifting equipment and an upgraded replacement for electric hoists. Their load capacity ranges from 250 kilograms to 30 tons, depending on the model. Pneumatic hoists only require a certain pressure of compressed air to operate. They also have a gas cut-off protection function, ensuring that the lifted object does not drop in case of sudden gas cut-off. Combined with various non-standard fixtures, pneumatic hoists can lift objects of various shapes. Installation forms can be adapted to cantilever cranes or tracks for movement. Common types of pneumatic hoists include vane type, piston type, and diaphragm type. They are widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, coal mining, textile, warehousing, household appliance production lines, automotive manufacturing lines, and shipbuilding and repair, and are indispensable equipment for ensuring safe production in enterprises. Pneumatic hoists use compressed air to drive the pneumatic motor to rotate, and after speed reduction, they increase the torque to complete the lifting work.

Composition Of Pneumatic Hoist

1. Hand control valve: mainly consists of a handle, a valve body, and a button. Pressing the button can open the air valve to control the connection between the main control valve airway and the motor airway. Or it can be operated by pulling the rope to rotate the rocker arm to achieve the opening degree of the air valve, which can realize stepless speed regulation.

2. Main control valve: mainly consists of left and right valve rods, connecting rod, and air distribution plate. It completes the air distribution work for the forward and reverse rotation of the air motor by switching the left and right airways.

3. Air motor: mainly consists of rotor, stator, front and rear end cover, and blades. When the air distribution plate of the main control valve sends compressed air into the motor, the blades rotate at high speed with the rotor.

4. Suspension: mainly consists of the upper hook, suspension body, sprocket, chain, and lower hook, etc. It completes the lifting and lowering movements by the forward and reverse rotation of the sprocket.

5. Reducer: mainly consists of housing and a set of planetary reduction mechanisms. When the high-speed shaft of the air motor is input into the reduction mechanism, the torque is increased after reduction and output to the lifting sprocket at the final stage.

6. Brake mechanism: mainly consists of the brake cone, the brake ring, and the cylinder body. By distributing air from the main control valve to the cylinder body, the brake cone and brake ring are separated to release the brake.

7. Interlock mechanism: mainly consists of a rotating shaft, a rocker arm, and a reset spring. It plays a role in preventing collisions and protecting when lifting and lowering to the position.

Finally Words

The HQ series of pneumatic hoists is compact, lightweight, spark-free, and safe to use. Pneumatic hoists are currently the most ideal lifting equipment in the world. They have advantages that electric hoists cannot match, such as resistance to high dust and small size, and light weight.
